Callie is almost 6 months old! Where is the time going?!?!

Callie is squealing and blowing raspberries left and right. She is very aware of her octave changes and will go through a few minute phase of bubble blowing, high-pitched sounds, one vowel sound, etc.

After Spring Break, Callie caught another cold at daycare, and has had a cough since then. She is now on her nebulizer treatment every 4 hours, and has a steroid (generic pulmicort) at her nighttime treatment. It is working- thank G-d because it was a terrible choking cough!

Callie has proven that little things matter! She learned how to lay her head on Mommy's shoulder last week- WHAT A MAGICAL FEELING! She just yesterday explored putting her toes in her mouth!

On April 8, Callie started inching herself to spin around, and it simulated crawling without her butt in the air. She can inch her way to a toy!

On April 21, Callie started making kissing sounds/movements! She mimicked us too!

Last weekend we went to Miami for Callie's cousin Joshua's first birthday party. She also met her other cousin Lyla for the first time! It was a baby-filled event! Callie spent Saturday afternoon and night with her Great Uncle Michael, and Great Grandma Carole!

Grandma comes up this weekend to visit again!

Below are some images since the last update... Not in any particular order (Too much time to move them around!)

Oh, what a weekend!

Callie has had an exciting weekend! On Saturday, Callie got her ears pierced at Florida Mall's Piercing Pagoda! She is sparkling now with her new bling! On Saturday night, she attended her first Passover seder at Auntie Roro's place, accompanied by Tio Rai and Titi Naty who were visiting. Then on Sunday, Callie stayed home with Rai and Naty, while Mommy and Daddy went to church for Easter! Callie got to wear her Sunday best pastel dress for Easter on our lunch outting to Press 101 in Dr. Phillips. After coming home, Mommy and Daddy had fun playing with Callie in our bed aka a massive playpen! Callie was able to scoot herself inch by inch until she turned almost 90 degrees to get to Daddy! She is just growing and changing so fast!

This was before she knew what was about to happen!
Mommy hated having to hold her arms and head back... poor baby- BUT, she already has forgotten, and she looks so pretty! Sparkle, sparkle!

...and the painful screams begin.

This was right after she had her ears pierced... poor baby!!!

My first earrings! Grandma had some special earrings made, so after 6-8 weeks of wearing these, we will switch! :)

Titi Naty gave me a bath!

Look how adorable I am in my Easter dress!

Tio Rai made me laugh!

See- I can hold my toesies!

Callie's awesome Easter gifts from Tio and Titi! We already put her iPod in the first toy. This is so she can play her games without drilling/dropping the iPod!!! The puppy sings songs, and teachers letters and more!

Stay tuned... Callie will be excited to know you came to visit! Join as a follower, and the emails will come right to you! :) Happy Easter.

This video is fun: Callie has been enjoying her exercauser. We now are singing "Red, yellow, and blue..."

Callie is 5 months old!

Happy Five Months to our SWEETIE!!!

Can you BELIEVE that our beautiful Callie is already 5 months old? Where is the time going? We have enjoyed seeing her learn new skills, and are so blessed with her happy demeanor!

Here are some highlights since the last post:

3/23 Callie played with her pacifier by pulling it out, and this time she made it back in to her mouth!
3/24 Callie tried baby cereal (video pending... it was cute! The first trial was good, the second trial was eh, and now we are just kind of holding off until she regulates her ounces again...)
3/27 Callie laughed and also said the /l/ sound for the first time
4/1 Callie laughed at "high five" (video below)
4/2 Callie gave Mommy 5 high fives in a row while FaceTiming with Grandma! Mommy said "High Five", and Callie arches her arm slowly to put her hand in my hand!

Some other fun things that she has learned to do and/or we have smiled over and over about:
When you stand her up on your lap facing you, she has a new energetic, high-pitched sound she makes and enjoys doing repeatedly! Also, Callie reaches for our lips when she is in front of our face, and will pinch our cheeks. She enjoys bouncing/dancing to her exercauser music, Callie has discovered how to make a pouty sad lip, and will slowly pull her bottom lip forward and in slow motion make a sad face, followed by a cry. She also holds her hands interlocked like Mr. Burns on the Simpsons! She really has utilized her hands and feet a lot this past week. She can reach for objects, and hold everything now (and likes to put them in her mouth!) Callie also likes to hold Mommy's finger when she is feeding, and yesterday Callie took my hand and rubbed it on her cheek repeatedly. SO ADORABLE! I downloaded a free app on my phone, that Callie also is engaged with. She touches animals and other common images, it shows the picture larger, says the name, and the sound it makes. She REALLY loves our iPhones and iPads! Daddy's Baby! Callie has held her toes a few times, and yesterday she tried to lean forward to eat them, but could not figure out how. Callie grabs her feet and legs, but there are no pictures yet, since this usually occurs when she is on the changing table!

Enjoy the pictures!
Stay tuned for more adventures of Callie!
