Today Callie went to the beach for the first time. She really enjoyed the wind and water! I somehow deleted some images, but there are ENOUGH below to see how much fun our family had, as well as how Callie enjoyed her time!

Callie
Well, it surely has been an interesting few weeks in the Ortiz home! She surely has kept us busy to say the least! We have had TONS of family visits, which have been so nice (and helpful with cleaning/laundry!), and we also have experienced more "firsts" with our beautiful daughter Callie!
I will notate some events that we have experienced:
Puking almost daily... end of story.
March 3- Callie woke up talking (video on another post)
March 5- daycare said she is the most talkative baby they have seen.
March 6- started sticking her tongue out
March 9- Callie's first tooth: bottom left
March 10- 101.1 fever
March 11- Callie slept 11 hours
March 12- can see a second tooth: bottom right
March 16- Callie rolled over (Abuelita and Abuelito saw it, from back to belly)
March 20- We moved her bath time back in to the pink tub, but IN to the adult tub. She really enjoyed tonight's bath, accompanied by a new bath song Mommy made up
March 22- Callie pets Patch (video below)
Callie's new baby doll that makes sounds and has tactile attachments from Abuelito and Abuelita. They came to visit for a whole week and watched Callie.
Looking Snazzy in shorts and sunglasses!
Our awesome, adorable, amazing, loving family
Mommy and Strawberry Ortiz
Callie held her own Zantac syringe (no, there are no needles, it is an oral syringe!)
Callie fell asleep holding her rings from Marisa!
AHA! Tooth number two is popping in to say "time for fussy Callie"...
Callie is teething and chewing on tons of things, and Mommy's fingers make great tethers since most teething rings are too big for her mouth!
Callie has used her new exercauser that her Great Great Aunt Elinor bought her! She is supporting her body so well, and is very strong. She will walk on flat surfaces if we hold her fingers/hands.
Callie has learned to help herself when her pacifier falls out. One night, she just kept bringing it to her mouth, but tonight, she did so much better, by turning the pacifier until the nipple part was in her mouth. She still did not put it the right way (it was upside down), but her fine motor skills surely are improving!!!
Until the next update,
Thanks for reading!

What's Callie's favorite time? 2:30 (Tooth-hurty!)
So, Callie has had a rash on her face for maybe 2 weeks. We have been "Aquafor"ing her up.
Her dental kit arrived in the mail last week.
She has been sticking her tongue out a lot. She also is gnawing on her hands and objects.
Mommy checked her gums 2 days ago... and saw nothing. But...
TADA! Callie cut her first tooth yesterday, March 9, 2012. She has exhibited many signs, like refusing to eat (lost some weight too), but also has been throwing up more (so, we thought reflux? GI said to up her Zantac, as she is at her "peak" age now.) Last night her temperature went up to 99.7. Today is was stable between 97 and 99.8. However, tonight she spiked and went to 101.1! So, Callie had her first dose of Infant Tylenol! ON A GOOD NOTE, her eryped medicine (to "empty her belly" to ensure she is hungry and does not refuse food), resulted in 7 poopy diapers thus far today! NICE. Hoping we can get back to normal feeding schedules, and that she can gain weight properly again. So, teething has not been a fun event on day 2. She cried incessantly for over 3 hours. Last night she did cry 4 separate times in the night, which ceased with a simple NUK pacifier. Mommy was not happy to wake up 4 times in the night to do this, but I know it is part of the growth of our Little One! I was just used to "sleeping through the night". She is coughing more, which I have read is normal from extra drool from the teething, but it still worries me, since she first got her cough/cold when she went to daycare at the end of January. We will figure it all out- I have faith! Off to clean up a little mini-puke session.
Until later,

Callie's Four Month!
Four Months:
According to her milestones: Callie is showing a new interest in playing with toys, or holding other objects (Mommy's hair and jewelry!). She is experimenting by shaking, banging and grabbing items for sure! She is laughing, smiling and holding her head up so strong! Callie leans to one side in her bouncer. She does a 'crunch' to sit up, man she is strong! Callie responds well to silly sounds and words like "AH-POOPOO", "OOOHLALA", and more. She LOVES raspberry blowing lips sounds, and can track sounds as far as which direction they are coming from! Callie continues to coo and have conversations using more letter sounds! It sounds like actual language! (Not English, but influxes and such!) Her motor skills are improving for sure! She is still working on lifting her head up higher than before. I will post images below. She has been swimming/kicking her legs a lot more, and enjoys hearing songs! Bath time is a relaxing time now for her, she loves it! She even closes her eyes when we wash her hair! Gotta be careful with the changing table, she is moving around a lot these days! Wiggle Worm from the womb! Callie has taken an interest in Patch, and will watch him move. She reaches for him. He of course wants to lick her formula-smelling clothes! BAD DOG. He is right there when she starts to heave (new thing in the household.)
Medically, Callie still has "a cough", which began at daycare. She is now on a nebulizer in the morning and evening once. She is still on Zantac 3 times a day. She had a second ENT appointment with Nemours Specialists, and she may be having a broncoscopy soon (dependaat on her pediatrician's followup Tuesday). Daddy took her to the appointment. Her reflux is getting more severe, hence the now daily 1-2 throw up sessions... Her larynx is swollen, and her phlegm is hanging around causing the cough (they think). After Hours did a chest Xray last week, no signs of pneumonia. THANK G-D! Her grunt has been gone a few days (as of today...)
She is SUCH A HAPPY BABY! She will puke and immediately continue to play and smile! Poor little baby! But, it could be worse! We are blessed that everything thus far is not too severe! Her laryngomalacia was conclusive as to why she grunts on exhales. Today, however, she did not make that sound!
I will try to attach as many images as I can. I am having some iPhoto issues.
Stay tuned as our Pumpkin continue to grow. We love you Callie Victoria!
