Well, it surely has been an interesting few weeks in the Ortiz home! She surely has kept us busy to say the least! We have had TONS of family visits, which have been so nice (and helpful with cleaning/laundry!), and we also have experienced more "firsts" with our beautiful daughter Callie!
I will notate some events that we have experienced:
Puking almost daily... end of story.
March 3- Callie woke up talking (video on another post)
March 5- daycare said she is the most talkative baby they have seen.
March 6- started sticking her tongue out
March 9- Callie's first tooth: bottom left
March 10- 101.1 fever
March 11- Callie slept 11 hours
March 12- can see a second tooth: bottom right
March 16- Callie rolled over (Abuelita and Abuelito saw it, from back to belly)
March 20- We moved her bath time back in to the pink tub, but IN to the adult tub. She really enjoyed tonight's bath, accompanied by a new bath song Mommy made up
March 22- Callie pets Patch (video below)
Callie's new baby doll that makes sounds and has tactile attachments from Abuelito and Abuelita. They came to visit for a whole week and watched Callie.
Looking Snazzy in shorts and sunglasses!
Our awesome, adorable, amazing, loving family
Mommy and Strawberry Ortiz
Callie held her own Zantac syringe (no, there are no needles, it is an oral syringe!)
Callie fell asleep holding her rings from Marisa!
AHA! Tooth number two is popping in to say "time for fussy Callie"...
Callie is teething and chewing on tons of things, and Mommy's fingers make great tethers since most teething rings are too big for her mouth!
Callie has used her new exercauser that her Great Great Aunt Elinor bought her! She is supporting her body so well, and is very strong. She will walk on flat surfaces if we hold her fingers/hands.
Callie has learned to help herself when her pacifier falls out. One night, she just kept bringing it to her mouth, but tonight, she did so much better, by turning the pacifier until the nipple part was in her mouth. She still did not put it the right way (it was upside down), but her fine motor skills surely are improving!!!
Until the next update,
Thanks for reading!
