Home from Miami!

Callie had an amazing time in Miami. She went to new restaurants and met new people. She received so many new toys and clothes! :) Mommy and Daddy are so glad to be back "home", although we miss our families! (read: come visit soon!) Spirit Airline has the great deals!

We had some fun with Callie when we came home. We danced and played. The clips below were longer, but the phone had to chop them up in order to email and share... enjoy if you would like to watch!

This was Callie sitting UP at her grandparent's house... She has had a strong neck since birth, but recently really wants to sit up and stand up on her own (pushes against us when she burps etc.)

Happy Baby!

Great Grandma Carole!

Grandma Ellen

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!
Many of our friends and family bought/gave us Nutramigen! The pediatrician in Miami said unless we make 150K, you cannot afford this for a full year!!! WHAT!!! Well, it is what our baby needs and it works, so WE ARE ACCEPTING COUPONS from anyone for Enfamil! (and ALL detergent- we use free and clear when it goes on BOGO at Publix...) Thank you all for helping us $AVE!!!

Callie got some awesome books! Some featured are: Dr. Seuss of course, I have my favorite Goodnight Moon, many color and number books (I teach Kindergarten), The Mitten, Counting Kisses, some Boyton books, The Very Hungry Caterpillar and more.

Ms. Irma and Mr. Jason gave her a recordable book at My baby shower: All the Ways I Love You.

I just realized these are only her HOLIDAY gift books! I have a bunch in her closet for her too! Environmental print books, colors, numbers and also my Bubbie and Papa's Ziggy's Lucky/Unlucky book... SUCH A FUNNY BOOK by the way.
HAPPY BABY FINALLY, thanks to a wonderful GI doctor Mehta, and nutramigen! (read: coupons plea$e)

Look at Ms. Thing posing for the paparazzi! We all know that Callie came in to this world "as a Yenta", looking around and holding her head up some. She is SO strong now and we tried the Bumbo! Although it says 3 months, it says OR when baby can hold neck up. Now, Callie likes to push up on her legs when we burp her in our laps. Last night, we held her above the bed, and she literally walked left foot, right foot, across the bed maybe 2 feet! This is unusual, but I will accept it. Baby-proofing may come sooner than planned!

Playing with my toys!

Today we got lots of Pampers wipes and Dr. Brown Bottles using coupons... Mommy paid $0! We are really working hard on coupling!!! Thanks Babies R Us for accepting my coupon craziness!

We are looking forward to seeing what 2012 holds! I am so anxious to see Callie continue to grow, change and become a little girl! She has surprised us in 8 short weeks with her strength, ability to show her personality, her smiles and coos, and pure love!

Bookmark her blog, and come back in 2012!

Baby is growing up!

So, we heard that time will fly by, and babies grow up fast... but THIS is fast.

I realized that I have to go BACK to work in a few weeks. :( ::INSERT GASPING AUDIENCE SOUND HERE::

Then, Callie's size newborn pajamas started to fit all snug!

Now, Callie is recognizing that her fingers can enter her mouth (and once this week, I saw a finger in her nose!) She is also grabbing things like necklaces, hair and earrings! BEWARE LADIES.

She is tracking objects even better this week! She focuses on Mommy and Daddy's faces (and others). Callie made her way across a whole pillow this week for tummy time. She crawled her body across! Sometimes she gets frustrated with tummy time, but other times, she will enjoy it... lifting her head up (on the Boppy),and crawling across if we use a pillow.

Callie is smiling A LOT. She is even laughing it seems! Yesterday, she made a sound like "woo hoo", it was so neat! She is cooing frequently.

Some days she stays up anywhere from 30-60 minutes after a feed, and some days, like yesterday and today, she conks out at the last ounce and wants to stay asleep. Even during burping sessions, she finds comfort in sleeping on your shoulder.

She likes to hold the bottle when we feed her (ok, REALLY she is just resting her hands there...)

Callie has a few signature poses. One pose is the squishy stretchy face she has when first waking up (usually accompanied with a fart or poop session hehe), or her  flamenco hands! She likes to sleep with her hands above her head.

Today Callie went to Great Grandma Carole's house to eat and play (and sleep a lot). Great Grandma called her Callie OCHO. HA! She looked in Mommy's iPhone at 800 pictures at Callie! It was funny to see her using technology!

Smiles!

Grandma Ellen cried when we had to leave :( Sad. Hoping she can fly/drive up more often soon!

We will miss everyone when we head back to Orlando soon :(

Stay tuned.

Holiday Season

Miss Callie looking adorable!

Callie has had a wonderful holiday season. We packed EVERYTHING she needed in to her own suitcase, which took a while! We knew we would have to take Mommy's SUV to fit everything for Callie, Patch, and Holiday gifts!

We arrived at Abuelo and Abuelita's house around 9 pm on the Wednesday before Christmas. Callie did well on her first drive to visit Miami. We stopped halfway as normal, fed the baby, walked the dog, and Mommy and Daddy ate dinner. She likes to sleep in the car!

We had already started the Chanukah menorah lighting tradition in Orlando. See below.

No, we don't blow them out, Callie!

 Starting a tradition!

Excited for the next night?

Our Chanukah-Themed Christmas tree 2011

Great, Great Aunt Elinor bought Callie book ends!

Callie got to meet her Papa and "Ita" (Abuelita) on Thursday. They loved each other at first sight. We spent the whole day with them, and enjoyed being around family. We celebrated the second night of Chanukah as well when we got back to Abuelito and Abuelita's in Miami. They bought us many cans of Nutramigen that week- THANKS!!!

THE most precious gift of 2011.

Monday, Callie met her baby cousin Charlotte for the first time, and her Uncle David and Aunt Dana. They conspired against their parents to trade off on crying and pooping time! Good job girls!
