Today we had a pediatrician appointment. Callie weighed 7.12, was 21 1/4 inches tall and head was 36 cm. She is on the low end of weight gain, so the pediatrician wants her to supplement with one feeding of formula before bed (WHEN IS BED?!)
The pediatrician said Callie was "Extreme Colic". Sigh...
She has been having a difficult time lately. Today she did not want to sleep. She cries hysterically and will only quiet down by 1.feeding (whether or not she is hungry), or 2. being swung in the carrier (not swing), and Mommy has blisters already from this!
Mommy is hopeful that this phase will pass soon.
We have an XRAY this week sometime to track her swallowing of milk to see if there is anything going on inside, and then a GI (Gastrointestinal) dr appt next week to see what is causing her all this pain.
It is SO hard to see her cry so much. It is affecting Mommy big time with lack of sleep and such.
Callie had her Hepatitus B 2nd shot today. It was so sad to see her screech from that shot. It made me cry! I don't like seeing her in such pain, and all day she hurts.
Sigh... I know nothing is given to me for no reason, so I too will figure out the meaning of why this is happening to us all. I just pray that Callie is 'cured' soon, I hate seeing her not happy. I see babies smiling and alert, but she is maybe 10 mins like this a day. Poor Baby.
Dear Callie,
When you read this in 20 years, know how much Mommy loves you (and Daddy, but this is my blog hehe). I wish you could sleep more and that we could have more fun now! Until then, we will do our best!
I LOVE YOU LITTLE PUMPKIN!
