ONE MONTH OLD!
On November 2, Callie was ONE MONTH OLD! Can you believe it? We can't. We have been very busy working on sleeping and feeding and figuring out her cry sessions. There is no predictable schedule yet.
She is getting VERY strong. We know that her first day of life, she was lifting her head, but now she is REALLY strong. She crawls up and down our bodies when we hold her! She can hold her head up and turn it to the sides. She loves to stare at the ceiling/light/fan, and our wall with pictures on it.
She is still on Zantac for reflux. Today we started a new plan with the Mylicon... we are giving her Mylicon halfway through her feeds, in hopes that it helps the gas/colic behaviors. We hope to see some success.
She goes back to the pediatrician on Tuesday. Mommy really hopes we can start feeding on demand now instead of waking to feed (SLEEEEEEEP please.)
Mommy and Daddy are still taking shifts in separate rooms to obtain maximum sleep. Mommy is waiting for Daddy to be in the same room again, but understands since he has to be up for work before 6 am.
Callie has started using the bottle once a night (usually her mid hours wake time is around 3 am), so Daddy has been giving a bottle then, which helps Mommy out!
We hope that the colicky behavior pans itself out soon!
Stay tuned.
