Update on GI

Callie in the "registration" room at Arnold Palmer 12/8/11- 1 month and 6 days old.

So, this morning we went to Arnold Palmer for Callie's GI Xray. First, we had to fast 4 hours before, so Callie was hungry. We arrived at 7:30 to check in and of course, they "didn't have the order", so I had to frantically get it faxed over, even though the pediatrician's office was closed! I recalled that it originally was going to be at Drew Medical, and they said she was too young for their office, so I called them- THEY FAXED the order. Phew!

I had to hold Callie under the Xray machine and feed her the "dye", that was a white substance. She gargled it down FAST. Hungry baby! Do you blame her?

Radiologist said that everything went from Point A (mouth) to Point B (the other end), fine. She said it went through FAST. We did witness the reflux right away. It was neat to see it on the Xray machine (not spewing out of her mouth!)

After 3 feeds later, the white substance made it's appearance out the outside again ;) They warned me about THAT!

Tomorrow is out GI (Gastrointestinal) specialist appointment. I hope we can get some further clarification as to what her pain is. Usually her shrieks and shrills are associated with the "hreih" sound, and legs pumping in (gas?).

Poor baby!

 TUMMY TIME!

On a happier note... we are working on 2 tummy time sessions a day to work on her neck muscles, although we are not worried since she is already holding her own neck up and looking around! She is STRONG!

Look at me! I am strong!
