Perspective

First, arriving in the registration center at Arnold Palmer's Children's Hospital, it really put things in to perspective. We just have a colicky baby with some reflux.

In the waiting room was a girl getting chemo, a boy with a severe body deformation, a boy getting ear tubes removed, and a baby in glasses!

I am thankful for just a colicky/reflux baby. Amen.

Second... on a lighter note... When people would ask us "What are you having?" (boy/girl), Kahlil always would say "LITTLE girl- we want a little girl for my wife's sake"... well turns out we got that... and she is on the low/mid end of gaining weight (not losing or maintaining, so that's good)... Then I always wanted an asian girl... Kahlil's mom has Asian on her side of the family, so I kept saying, I hope it comes through somehow with our baby! Well.... Callie has Mongolian Spots on her butt! LOL. I guess we got those "things", but in a roundabout way.

Be careful what you wish for, and be thankful for what you HAVE!
